Riyadh, August 5, 2024 – The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, through its General Directorate of Branches, conducted 1,247 field inspections of industrial establishments across Saudi Arabia in July. These visits are part of the ministry’s routine inspections to assess factory readiness and compliance with quality standards and necessary regulations.
Spokesperson Jarrah Al-Jarrah stated that the inspections included 357 visits in the Makkah region, 303 in Riyadh, 219 in the Eastern Province, 82 in Qassim, 57 in Madinah, 51 in Asir, 50 in Jazan, 34 in Hail, 31 in Tabuk, 30 in Najran, 19 in the Northern Borders region, and 14 in Al-Baha.
Al-Jarrah emphasized the ministry’s commitment to continuing these inspections to ensure industrial establishments adhere to required standards and regulations, provide high-quality products, comply with approved specifications, and ensure product safety. The ministry is also focused on rectifying issues in factories located outside industrial cities.
The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources mandates that all industrial establishments obtain a safety license from Civil Defense, provide safety measures according to the nature of their activities, ensure the availability of emergency exits, fire systems, and safe storage of raw materials and products.
