Dammam — Al-Ettifaq Football Club has renewed the contract of head coach Saad Al-Shehri for one additional season, following an agreement reached between the two sides.

The signing ceremony was held at the club’s headquarters in Dammam, in the presence of club president Samer Al-Mishal and the coach. The extension comes after Al-Shehri led the team to a noticeable rise in form, taking over from former manager Steven Gerrard earlier in the season.

“Coach Saad has our full trust,” said Al-Mishal, adding that both the board and golden members support the decision. “We’re optimistic about building a team worthy of Al-Ettifaq’s name and history.”

Al-Shehri’s leadership has been credited with revitalizing tactics and morale, earning backing from both management and fans heading into the 2025 season.
