Saudi club Al-Ittihad is on the verge of clinching the 2024–2025 Roshn Saudi Pro League title as it prepares to face Al-Raed in Buraidah during Matchweek 32. A win would secure the championship for the Jeddah-based side, needing just three points from its final nine to seal the title.
Currently leading the table with 74 points, Al-Ittihad sits ahead of rivals Al-Hilal (68 points) and Al-Nassr (63 points). Victory against Al-Raed—who have already been relegated to the First Division (Yelo League) after a dismal season—would render the final two fixtures irrelevant.
French manager Laurent Blanc is expected to capitalize on Al-Raed’s struggles to avoid any late title drama. Al-Ittihad’s remaining matches include encounters with Al-Shabab in Riyadh and Damac in Jeddah.
Dutch winger Steven Bergwijn and Portuguese midfielder Danilo Pereira are set to return to the starting lineup after serving one-match suspensions. However, French forward Moussa Diaby will remain sidelined due to an additional disciplinary suspension following a red card against Al-Nassr in Matchweek 30.
Meanwhile, club captain Karim Benzema continues his pursuit of the league’s golden boot, trailing Cristiano Ronaldo by two goals. Ronaldo leads with 23, while Benzema has netted 21 this season.
