Riyadh — The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) is deepening its ties with global tech leader AMD, as part of the Kingdom’s push to become a global hub for AI innovation.
SDAIA President Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghamdi met with Dr. Lisa Su, Chair and CEO of AMD, at SDAIA’s headquarters in Riyadh to explore ways to expand strategic cooperation following the memorandum of understanding signed during the Saudi-U.S. Investment Forum.
Discussions focused on joint AI development, leveraging AMD’s high-performance computing expertise to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s AI infrastructure, enhance innovation, and support Vision 2030’s digital transformation goals.
The AMD delegation toured SDAIA’s facilities, including its AI art gallery (“Arthon”), Tech Museum, and smart city initiatives, gaining insight into SDAIA’s national-level AI programs and data-driven development strategies.
The meeting forms part of SDAIA’s broader effort to forge international partnerships with leading global tech firms to build a sustainable digital economy rooted in data and artificial intelligence.
