Saudi, Malaysian Ministers Discuss Strategic Digital Cooperation
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, met with Malaysia’s Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Tengku Zafrul Aziz, in Riyadh to explore expanded cooperation in the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and innovation ecosystems.
The high-level meeting was part of the Saudi-Malaysian Coordination Council and underscored the two nations’ shared ambition to advance strategic technology partnerships and support the development of digital talent and entrepreneurship.
Discussions focused on:

– Facilitating public-private partnerships
– Expanding bilateral knowledge exchange
Minister Al-Swaha highlighted Saudi Arabia’s rapid digital transformation and its commitment to becoming a global partner in the age of AI, supported by world-class digital infrastructure and long-term national strategies under Vision 2030.
The ministers concluded with a shared affirmation to build high-impact collaborations between the public and private sectors, aimed at accelerating digital growth and leveraging next-generation technologies to foster deeper economic and technological integration between Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.
