Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — Saudi Arabia has secured its position as the world’s top-ranked nation for cybersecurity in the 2025 World Competitiveness Yearbook, issued by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland.
The Saudi Arabia cybersecurity ranking 2025 result reflects the Kingdom’s sustained leadership in building an advanced, secure cyberspace infrastructure. The ranking continues Saudi Arabia’s global prominence in cybersecurity across consecutive years.
National Cybersecurity Efforts Recognized Globally
On this occasion, Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers, and Chairman of the National Cybersecurity Authority, expressed gratitude to the Kingdom’s leadership. He credited the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their support and commitment to cybersecurity advancement.
Saudi Arabia was also recognized as a Role-Model country in the highest category of the Global Cybersecurity Index 2024, issued by the United Nations’ ITU.
Dr. Al-Aiban highlighted that this achievement adds to the Kingdom’s broader success across sectors. He emphasized that the leadership’s vision enabled Saudi Arabia to develop a comprehensive cybersecurity framework with both security and developmental dimensions.
The Kingdom’s rapid progress follows the establishment of the National Cybersecurity Authority and the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE). Together, these institutions form the foundation of Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity model.
