The Taif Rose Festival (Harvest 19) witnessed a remarkable turnout as the main entrance and the Rose Passage at Al-Ruddaf Park were filled with visitors from Taif and tourists from neighboring regions and provinces. Volunteers supported the Taif Rose Cooperative Society and the municipality in achieving high levels of organization. Visitors, especially families, were directed to festival attractions to enjoy various events and activities.

Rose exhibitors noted that the high visitor numbers would lead to significant revenue, positively impacting the cultivation, production, and industry of roses, which receive considerable attention and care from the government. The festival, which is annually organized by the Taif Rose Cooperative Society in collaboration with the municipality and relevant sectors, is sponsored by the Governor of Taif.

Traffic patrols, both mounted and on foot, alongside security agencies, managed the heavy vehicle traffic around the park, one of the largest in the province. They directed vehicles to use surrounding open spaces for parking, preventing traffic congestion at the festival site. The festival’s activities span 12 days, allowing as many visitors as possible to enjoy the high-profile event during the Taif Rose Harvest season.

The Rose Passage, flower stalls, traditional market, government pavilions, and agricultural nursery attracted the highest number of visitors. The municipality prepared all park areas to accommodate the large influx of visitors. Families flocked to take photos of the largest flower carpet ever created by the municipality in the park’s center to support the festival. This flower carpet is the largest ever made in the history of Taif festivals.

The municipality also launched interactive fountain shows synchronized with national songs. Festival organizers managed to prevent crowding around the water lake and regulated access to the overhead pedestrian bridge, which reached its maximum capacity. From the bridge, visitors could view the entire flower carpet. Field teams worked tirelessly to ensure visitor safety amid the ever-increasing attendance from locals and tourists.

The festival’s aesthetic touches, including flower arrangements and hanging flower baskets, caught the eye. Visitors praised the notable efforts of female volunteers in guiding families, preventing misconduct, and ensuring smooth movement throughout Al-Ruddaf Park, which spans approximately half a million square meters. The municipality’s preparation of park entrances and exits prevented congestion, as all gates were opened to accommodate the large visitor turnout for the festival activities.
