RIYADH—The Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center (RIPC) has issued its first license for an infrastructure project, marking a significant step following the transfer of licensing responsibilities to the center. This move aims to enhance integrated planning and develop sustainable infrastructure efficiently in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
According to Deputy President of Operations, Eng. Tariq bin Mohammed Al-Harbi, the licensing process will be rolled out in phases to meet market needs and requirements. The focus will be on improving efficiency and expediting license issuance through direct electronic linkage with various agencies, enabling immediate data verification.
Al-Harbi highlighted that the center is working towards several strategic objectives, including improving the efficiency of infrastructure project planning and execution, enhancing integration among relevant entities, supporting strategic partnerships, and improving the urban landscape to increase resident and beneficiary satisfaction. Additionally, efforts are being made to standardize permits and licenses and digitize all project-related plans and information to ensure compliance with the highest international standards.
The center invites all stakeholders and citizens to visit its website (https://ripc.gov.sa) for more information on the procedures for obtaining licenses and permits for infrastructure projects.
It is noteworthy that the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center was established by a Cabinet decision on July 19, 2023, with the goal of advancing infrastructure projects, contributing to expenditure efficiency, enhancing quality of life, and improving the urban landscape towards sustainable infrastructure.
