Hail, July 21, 2024 – The third edition of the Hail House Festival, themed “Your Home… My Beloved,” has attracted more than 68,000 visitors of various ages from both within the region and beyond since its launch at “Aja Park.” Visitors enjoyed a variety of live and diverse festival activities.
The festival featured the Hejazi Village pavilion, representing the heritage of Yanbu, and live crafts by artisans, including the making of prayer beads, sadu weaving, bead embroidery, resin crafts, palm frond weaving, hand embroidery, handmade carpet making, crochet, wooden door crafting, gypsum carvings for traditional Hail majlis, wood carving, hand sewing, and a variety of traditional performances from Hail and Yanbu. Additionally, there was a “Made in Hail” pavilion and diverse traditional foods prepared with heritage tools that reflect the festival’s traditional theme.
Naif Al-Salhub, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Hail House Festival, stated that the festival has seen a high number of visitors since its opening, who have come to learn about the Kingdom’s heritage through a variety of daily popular activities held from 6 PM to 1 AM. He explained that Hail House aims to educate the younger generation about their cultural heritage, instill its values, and protect it from neglect and loss.
Many visitors expressed their gratitude to the organizers for creating a unique and distinguished festival, providing an opportunity for them and their children to learn about the heritage of their ancestors, the components of old life, and the natural tools they used to meet their daily needs in clothing, food, and household items.
