Monsha’at Support for SMEs in the Northern Borders Region

Arar, Saudi Arabia — The General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at) is expanding its support for SME growth in the Northern Borders Region. It recently held talks with the regional Chamber of Commerce to boost collaboration and create a more business-friendly environment. This step aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The meeting brought together Chamber Chairman Ahmed Al-Suwailem, board members, and Monsha’at Governor Sami Al-Hussaini. Al-Hussaini highlighted that over 13,500 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operate in the region, employing more than 47,500 people. Many of these businesses benefit from Monsha’at’s training programs and services like franchising support and digital platforms such as Jadeer and Mazaya.

Al-Hussaini also led an open session with local entrepreneurs. They discussed key challenges and proposed solutions to common startup barriers. This reflects Monsha’at’s commitment to actively engaging with business owners and addressing real-time needs.

The Northern Borders region holds strong potential. Its advantages include access to key sectors like mining, storage, and industry. Monsha’at aims to tap into these strengths by offering tailored programs that drive sustainable business growth and innovation.
