Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — Saudi Arabia visitor spending in Q1 2025 reached record levels, underscoring the Kingdom’s tourism growth. International visitors spent approximately SAR 49.4 billion during the first quarter of 2023. This reflects a 9.7% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

The surge in inbound travel spending also generated a surplus of around SAR 26.8 billion in Saudi Arabia’s balance of payments. According to May 2025 travel data from the Saudi Central Bank, the surplus increased by 11.7% year-over-year.

Vision 2030 Tourism Achievements Surpass Expectations

The Ministry of Tourism confirmed that these record-breaking figures reflect the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to advance its tourism sector. These results align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives.

Officials emphasized the collaboration between government agencies and private sector partners to enhance tourism services and products. Major reforms have positioned the Kingdom to exceed its key tourism targets seven years ahead of schedule.

Additionally, ongoing initiatives continue to improve visitor experiences, expand infrastructure, and promote Saudi Arabia’s cultural and natural assets.
