Jazan, Saudi Arabia — The National Water Company (NWC) has launched 19 water and sanitation projects across Jazan as part of its Southern Cluster operations. With investments exceeding SAR 1.5 billion, these projects aim to expand service coverage, boost infrastructure, and support Vision 2030 water and environmental targets.
The projects include over 1,203 kilometers of new water and sanitation lines and networks across the region. The company emphasized that this work is part of its strategic plan to strengthen the water sector, protect the environment, and meet growing demand.
NWC Jazan Water Projects to Improve Regional Access
NWC is implementing nine major water projects across Jazan, including:
- Several districts of Jazan city
- Damad, Bish, Sabia, and Abu Arish governorates
The work includes building:
- Over 397 kilometers of new water networks
- Two operational tanks with a total storage capacity of 15,000 cubic meters
- Pumping stations with a combined capacity exceeding 60,000 cubic meters per day
These upgrades will improve water security, ensure reliable access, and expand infrastructure for residents and businesses in Jazan.
Jazan Sanitation and Environmental Sustainability Projects
NWC also launched 10 sanitation projects across Jazan, covering:
- Jazan city districts, Farasan, Ahad Al Masarha, Samtah, and Sabia governorates
- Al Hakkamiyah, Al Khadra, and Al Musim centers
The projects include:
- Over 806 kilometers of new sewage lines and networks
- New wastewater treatment plants in Jazan city, Al Khadra, and Al Musim centers, with a combined design capacity of 24,000 cubic meters per day.
- Lift stations with a total design capacity of 185,000 cubic meters per day.
These initiatives support Saudi Arabia’s environmental sustainability goals by improving wastewater management, reducing pollution, and promoting ecological balance.
