Abha, Saudi Arabia — The Asir Health Cluster has launched an expanded “Healthy Summer” campaign to improve healthcare access and raise public health awareness across the region. The initiative supports Vision 2030 by enhancing the quality of services for residents and the influx of summer tourists.

Accessible Services and Smarter Delivery

The campaign activates 286 health centers, including 60 on-call sites, and deploys 12 mobile medical units at key tourist areas. Six golf carts help move visitors between clinics and attractions. Dialysis capacity has risen from 213 to 777 sessions, improving treatment availability.

Digital tools play a central role. A smart interactive map helps residents and tourists find the nearest clinics. At the same time, digital screens in health centers and public spaces show summer-specific health tips.

Community Awareness and Seasonal Readiness

The campaign reaches all Asir governorates, with outreach events in parks, resorts, and city centers. Health booths have been set up in Khamis Mushait, Ahad Rufaidah, and Balsamer. More than 62 awareness activities have already occurred in busy tourist areas, combining education with on-site care.

A central summer operations room tracks service levels, monitors staffing, and expands access to specialized clinics. These actions improve coordination and ensure a faster response to public health needs during the season.

By linking mobile units, digital services, and public education, the Asir Health Cluster adapts healthcare to meet seasonal demand and supports Vision 2030’s goal of a healthier society.
