Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing announced the launch of 26,000 off-plan residential units through the “Sakani” platform in the first half of 2025, supporting Vision 2030’s goal of 70% homeownership.

New units and plots accelerate delivery

In H1 2025, the ministry launched approximately 26,000 off-plan homes. Of these, 5,000 units were delivered to beneficiaries, while 4,200 remain under development. It also released 5,200 residential land plots, raising the total number of available plots to more than 170,000.

Major infrastructure projects and quality upgrades

The ministry signed power agreements for seven major projects worth over SAR 3 billion. These projects cover 36 million m² and aim to serve 24,000 beneficiaries. In addition, 20 new projects received the Ajwad quality certificate, bringing the total number of certified developments to 57.

Stronger developer base and green expansion

Authorities accredited 70 new developers and formed strategic partnerships with 36 global firms across seven countries. The ministry planted more than 130,000 trees and shrubs as part of the Green Suburbs initiative. So far, it has completed 514,000 of the 1.3 million planting target.

Digital momentum through Sakani platform

Sakani now serves over 4.6 million users and facilitated 106,000 housing contracts in H1 2025. The platform recorded more than 160 million visits during the period, highlighting rising digital engagement.
