Istanbul, Turkey — The Saudi Pavilion IDEF 2025 concluded its six-day participation in Istanbul with key gains that advance the Kingdom’s defense industries and support localization goals under Vision 2030. Organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), the pavilion brought together over ten Saudi public and private entities to showcase growing national capabilities.
Led by GAMI Governor Eng. Ahmed Al-Ohali, the Saudi delegation, held high-level meetings with global defense leaders and signed five memoranda of understanding (MoUs). These agreements reflect the Kingdom’s intent to deepen international partnerships and elevate the global standing of its defense firms.
Al Isnad Factory signed MoUs with Turkey’s MDH Makel Group, AKSA Group, and Ayyazilim Company. Additional deals included NCMS with MKE and INTRA Defense Technologies with SAĞLAMTEK. These collaborations focus on joint manufacturing, technology transfer, and research and development.
Saudi Pavilion IDEF 2025 Expands Global Outreach and Defense Cooperation
The pavilion underscored Saudi Arabia’s commitment to building an integrated defense ecosystem. Visitors—including Turkish Defense Industries Authority President Prof. Haluk Görgün—commended the high quality of exhibits and the clarity of GAMI’s regulatory framework.
GAMI provided briefings on Saudi defense products, localization incentives, and its role in simplifying investor entry. Officials noted strong global interest in the Kingdom’s offerings, especially in unmanned systems, electronic warfare, and localized production.
The delegation confirmed that the exhibition met its goals. These included increasing the visibility of Saudi firms, expanding the international partnership network, and promoting industrial growth aligned with Vision 2030 defense targets. As Saudi Arabia pushes to become a leading defense manufacturing hub, platforms like IDEF give crucial momentum to its localization efforts.
