Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — The King Abdullah Financial District Development and Management Company (KAFD DMC) and Samsung Electronics have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). They will collaborate on developing and integrating advanced smart city technologies across KAFD. The agreement aims to enhance Riyadh’s digital infrastructure, improve resident and visitor experiences, and reinforce the region’s position as a leading innovation hub.
The strategic partnership marks a significant step toward realizing Saudi Vision 2030. This vision emphasizes sustainable, technology-driven urban development. KAFD, already recognized as Riyadh’s premier business and lifestyle destination, continues to invest in digital transformation projects. These projects promote efficiency, sustainability, and human-centric design.
Strengthening Riyadh’s Smart City Ecosystem
The KAFD Samsung Smart City collaboration will focus on integrating enterprise-grade digital infrastructure to optimize district operations. Planned initiatives include advanced access control systems, digital signage, and centralized platforms for real-time infrastructure and asset management. These technologies will enhance connectivity and improve the overall digital experience for KAFD’s tenants, businesses, and visitors.
KAFD and Samsung also explore establishing a Samsung experience center in the district as part of the agreement. The proposed facility would serve as both a technology showcase and a community hub.
