RIYADH—The Saudi Export Development Authority, known as “Saudi Exports,” organized the inaugural forum for licensed export houses in Riyadh today. This initiative aims to bolster the global reach of Saudi products and services by connecting more than 60 companies, members of the “Made in Saudi” program, with licensed export houses through the “Export House Licensing” service. The forum focuses on sectors such as building materials, consumer products, food products, and petrochemical products, which have significantly contributed to Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports over the past years.

The forum aligns with Saudi Exports’ strategic goals to empower the brand of the Kingdom’s non-oil exports in global markets. It features various services and programs, including the “Export House Licensing” service launched last year, 2023, during the second edition of the “Made in Saudi” exhibition. Licensed companies act as trade intermediaries, providing diverse services across different stages of export chains, thereby enhancing the productivity of local factories and facilitating export activities. This initiative aims to strengthen the presence of national products and services in targeted international markets.

The forum includes dedicated discussion sessions for each national company with licensed export houses, the Saudi Export-Import Bank, and the Saudi Export Incentive Program. These sessions allow companies to showcase their national products and pioneering innovations across various sectors, exploring opportunities and support mechanisms to enhance the global penetration of national products. This effort contributes to diversifying national income sources and aims to increase the share of Saudi non-oil exports to at least 50% of the total non-oil GDP by 2030.
