Taif Rose Festival Draws Significant Crowd at Al-Ruddaf Park
TAIF, Saudi Arabia — The Taif Rose Festival is drawing large crowds to Al-Ruddaf Park, with families and tourists enjoying vibrant displays and floral celebrations. Organized by the Taif Rose Cooperative Society and the municipality, the event highlights the region’s famous rose harvest and offers twelve days of cultural and economic activity.
Massive Turnout and Streamlined Entry
Visitors entered the festival grounds through the main gates and the scenic Rose Passage. Volunteers played a key role in guiding families to various attractions, while security forces managed vehicle traffic efficiently. As a result, cars were diverted to nearby open spaces, which helped avoid congestion around the site.
Boost for Local Rose Industry
Rose exhibitors expressed optimism about revenue growth, citing strong footfall and increased interest in rose-based products. This growing demand directly supports the cultivation and trade of Taif roses, a sector that benefits from robust government support. Therefore, this year’s attendance is expected to strengthen the region’s floral economy and promote long-term development.
Popular Attractions and Floral Displays
Festival-goers explored the traditional market, flower stalls, agricultural exhibits, and government pavilions. One of the main highlights was the unveiling of the largest flower carpet in Taif’s festival history, crafted at the park’s center. In addition, visitors enjoyed choreographed fountain shows set to patriotic music, adding a dynamic visual experience.
Efficient Safety Measures and Volunteer Support
To prevent crowding, organizers restricted access to the pedestrian bridge, which provided views of the entire flower carpet. Meanwhile, field teams ensured visitor safety throughout the day. Female volunteers also helped direct families, maintain order, and support smooth crowd movement.
Spanning nearly half a million square meters, Al-Ruddaf Park was fully prepared for high turnout. Consequently, the municipality opened all gates and arranged access paths to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for every guest.
