Riyadh — King Saud University is launching the first Digital Health Innovation Hackathon, known as “Healthathon”, aimed at fostering creative solutions in healthcare and improving quality of life through technology-driven innovation.

The three-day event, which begins today at the university’s female campus auditorium, features six key tracks, including:
– Smart healthcare solutions
– Chronic disease monitoring with IoT technologies
– Predictive and preventive care using AI
– Data visualization and user experience
– Improved access to healthcare services
– Cybersecurity and big data analytics in healthcare

Organizers say the hackathon is designed to inspire innovation across disciplines, targeting health professionals, technologists, entrepreneurs, researchers, and university students in relevant medical and tech fields.

The initiative supports Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to digitize healthcare infrastructure and create a more resilient, tech-enabled health ecosystem aligned with Vision 2030.
