Riyadh — Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha, held a series of meetings with global tech leaders to strengthen the Kingdom’s artificial intelligence ecosystem and position it as a global hub for AI innovation.

In talks with Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon, discussions centered on a partnership with Humane to establish a semiconductor design center, develop hybrid data centers, and expand smart computing infrastructure.

In a separate meeting, AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su reviewed the company’s plans to accelerate high-performance computing and generative AI initiatives in Saudi Arabia, also in collaboration with Humane. The effort aims to empower global developers through a Saudi-based digital platform.

The meetings reflect the Kingdom’s drive to build advanced digital infrastructure, attract high-value tech investments, and localize innovation-driven industries in support of its digital economy goals.
