Jeddah Islamic Port Launches RESIN Service for Global Trade
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia —The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has introduced the new “RESIN” shipping service by SeaLead at Jeddah Islamic Port. This addition aims to boost Saudi exports and improve the port’s global competitiveness.
Stronger Maritime Links with Four Key Ports
The RESIN service will connect Jeddah Islamic Port with four major ports: Nhava Sheva in India, Ain Sokhna in Egypt, Djibouti, and Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates. It offers a handling capacity of up to 1,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units).
Moreover, Mawani confirmed that this move supports its strategy to enhance Saudi Arabia’s connectivity with global markets. It also contributes to the National Transport and Logistics Strategy. That broader plan aims to establish the Kingdom as a key logistics hub between three continents.
Jeddah Port’s Role in Saudi Trade Growth
Jeddah Islamic Port remains one of the most vital shipping centers on the Red Sea. It benefits from advanced logistics infrastructure and a high cargo-handling capacity.
Therefore, the port is well-positioned to support the Kingdom’s import and export operations. It also plays a central role in strengthening Saudi Arabia’s integration into global supply chains.
With the launch of the RESIN service, the port further solidifies its position as a strategic gateway for international trade. It also supports broader efforts to diversify the national economy through improved logistics efficiency.
