Red Sea International Airport Signs Ground Services Deal

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia — The Saudi Ground Services Company has signed a strategic agreement with Daa International, the operator of Red Sea International Airport. This agreement provides ground-handling services for all airlines operating at the airport. The five-year contract reflects a commitment to top-tier operational standards and environmental sustainability.

CEO Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Mazey signed on behalf of Saudi Ground Services. At the same time, daa International CEO Andrew Tylersmith represented the airport. Also present was John Pagano, CEO of Red Sea Global—the airport’s developer. He was alongside several senior executives and aviation industry experts.

Mazey emphasized that this partnership underscores the Kingdom’s ambitions in tourism and sustainable development. He noted that serving next-generation airports, such as Red Sea International, reinforces the company’s role in achieving Vision 2030 goals. Additionally, it supports Saudi Arabia’s integrated aviation and tourism ecosystem.

To meet rising demand, Saudi Ground Services continues to invest in advanced operational assets, qualified national talent, and initiatives in digital transformation and automation. The company currently serves 29 airports across the Kingdom, handles nearly 800,000 flights per year, and provides services to over 110 million passengers and 116 airlines. It achieves a 99.68% operational performance rate.

Andrew Tylersmith stated that this agreement strengthens the operational and sustainable foundations of Red Sea International Airport. He added that the airport runs entirely on renewable energy. It is ready to welcome the world with innovative, low-carbon solutions aligned with Vision 2030.

Under the agreement, Saudi Ground Services will handle passenger services inside the terminal. It will manage all apron operations—including aircraft marshaling, towing, and power supply. Also, it will oversee baggage handling. These efforts will help position Red Sea International Airport as one of Saudi Arabia’s most competitive in terms of service quality.
