Mawani Wins TLME 2025 Awards for Ports Infrastructure and Logistics Hub
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — Saudi Arabia’s logistics leadership was affirmed at the TLME Awards 2025 in Dubai. The Saudi Ports Authority, known as Mawani, earned top honors for “Ports Infrastructure” and “Logistics Hub.” These awards reinforced its role in the region’s growing supply chain.
Saudi Port Infrastructure Drives TLME 2025 Recognition
One reason for the recognition is the Kingdom’s port privatization program. Mawani signed landmark agreements with private operators to manage container terminals at Jeddah Islamic Port and King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam. As a result, the deals brought in over SAR 16 billion—the highest in Saudi port infrastructure to date.
Additionally, Mawani launched major expansion work at Jeddah Islamic Port. With SAR 640 million in funding, projects include deepening berths and building new docks. Consequently, the port can now handle vessels up to 24,000 TEUs, boosting throughput and competitiveness.
Moreover, these efforts align with broader national targets. They are part of Saudi Arabia’s push to modernize its maritime gateways and support Vision 2030 logistics goals.
Logistics Parks Advance Vision 2030 Goals
To extend its logistics footprint, Mawani signed agreements to build 20 logistics parks across Saudi ports. These projects, backed by SAR 10 billion in investment, aim to improve cargo handling and reduce supply chain costs. Therefore, they directly support trade growth and operational efficiency.
For example, the Maersk logistics park at Jeddah Islamic Port represents the largest integrated facility in the region. Valued at SAR 1.3 billion, it combines customs clearance, storage, and freight services in one hub. In turn, this setup enables faster cargo movement and digital coordination.
In 2024, Mawani earned eight international and regional awards. It opened 2025 with the Logistics Platform Award from ShipTek International. Hence, its growing reputation reflects real performance and global credibility.
Ultimately, the Mawani TLME 2025 Awards confirm a clear shift in logistics policy and execution. With upgraded ports and new infrastructure, Saudi Arabia is becoming a strategic link across Asia, Europe, and Africa.
