Tuaja Luxury Resorts Break Ground in Al-Ahsa

Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia — Dan Company has started work on Tuaja Luxury Resorts in Al-Ahsa, marking its first foray into the hospitality sector. His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr Al Saud, Governor of Al-Ahsa, led the ceremony. Representatives from Hilton Worldwide, the Al-Ahsa Development Authority, and private partners also attended.

The Tuaja Luxury Resorts development features three distinct properties: Tuaja Premium Farm Resort, Tuaja Eco Resort, and Tuaja Adventure Resort. Hilton will manage all three sites. They span 1.8 million square meters and include nearly 200 units, including villas and hotel rooms.

Tuaja Luxury Resorts Support Vision 2030 Goals

Tuaja Luxury Resorts aims to advance the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by expanding rural tourism. Dan Company targets 14 million visitors by 2030. It projects 1.4 million overnight stays and 12 million day experiences. The firm expects the initiative to contribute SAR 6 billion to the national GDP.

Al-Ahsa’s unique environment enhances the resort’s value. The UNESCO-listed oasis provides a natural backdrop. The farm resort highlights local agriculture, while the eco-resort promotes wellness. Meanwhile, the adventure resort offers hiking, cycling, and stargazing.

Sustainable Design Anchors Tuaja Hospitality Vision

Tuaja Luxury Resorts reflects Saudi Arabia’s focus on sustainable hospitality. Dan Company is pursuing LEED Gold certification across all developments. The design integrates local materials, energy-efficient systems, and low-impact construction. Models presented at the ceremony showcased these features.

A shared plaza will connect the three resorts at the center of the development. It will host cultural exhibitions, dining venues, and a conference center. This layout supports both leisure and business tourism.

Al-Ahsa’s Role in Tuaja’s Expansion Strategy

Prince Saud stressed the importance of public-private cooperation. He stated that Tuaja Luxury Resorts aligns with national tourism goals and elevates Al-Ahsa’s global presence. Dan Company will use Al-Ahsa as a model for expanding the Tuaja brand to other Saudi regions.

Each future resort under the Tuaja name will reflect its region’s cultural and natural character. This strategy enhances rural tourism while supporting economic diversification.
