The achievement follows a 1‑1 draw against Trinidad and Tobago in the Green Falcons’ final Group D match at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The match took place early Monday morning.
Saudi striker Firas Al‑Buraikan scored the crucial equalizer in the 60th minute. His goal came after Dante Sealy had given Trinidad and Tobago the lead in the opening 10 minutes.
As a result, Saudi Arabia secured second place in Group D with four points. The United States finished top with nine points. Trinidad and Tobago placed third with two points, while Haiti ended the group stage with one.
