Dammam, Saudi Arabia — The Saudi Paper Manufacturing Company (SPM) confirmed that trial operations for its fifth production line will begin in the third quarter of 2025. Today, the company announced on Saudi Tadawul that the overall project completion has reached 85%.

Saudi Paper Fifth Production Line Supports Industrial Growth
The project includes advanced facilities for tissue paper production with a design capacity of 60,000 tons per year. The initiative reflects domestic market demand and SPM’s role in strengthening Saudi Arabia’s paper manufacturing industry.
On March 5, 2024, SPM signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Italian firm TOSCOTEC to purchase and install the new tissue production line.
On October 12, 2023, the company signed a contract with Durr Tamam Trading and Contracting (DTC) to complete structural steel works, construct the building for the fifth line, and execute the necessary civil works.
Financial Performance in 2025
SPM expects the financial impact of the fifth production line to begin appearing in its results from the third quarter of the 2025 financial year. The project aligns with national efforts to boost domestic manufacturing and reduce import dependency for essential consumer products.
The Saudi Paper fifth production line marks a key milestone in the company’s broader growth strategy. It positions SPM to meet rising local and regional demand within the tissue paper sector.
The company stated it will share further updates as the project nears completion and commercial operations commence.
