Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — Naqi Water Company signed a €8.53 million deal to purchase and supply a bottled drinking water production line from Middle East Machinery Factory Limited (MEMCO). The Naqi Riyadh water production line project reflects the company’s plan to expand operations across Saudi Arabia.
In a statement to Tadawul Saudi Arabia, Naqi confirmed the project will be self-financed. It supports Naqi’s new bottled water plant in Riyadh.
The company acquired the leased site of the plant on December 28, 2023. Construction is already underway. This expansion aligns with Naqi’s strategy to increase local production and meet rising demand.
Naqi Riyadh Water Production Line Expands Capacity
The Naqi Riyadh water production line is expected to increase output by approximately 700 million bottles per year. This will apply under normal operating conditions. The financial impact is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Naqi emphasized that the project aligns with its broader growth plans. Expanding its Riyadh facility will help scale bottled water production. It will also support Naqi’s sales and distribution network across the nation.
The company aims to strengthen its market share in Saudi Arabia’s competitive bottled water sector. It also reinforces the Kingdom’s drive to boost domestic manufacturing.
