Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — Al Moammar Information Systems Co. (MIS) has secured a SAR 42.93 million contract from the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) to provide and develop IT services. The announcement on Tadawul on July 16, 2025, represents a major step in strengthening Saudi Arabia’s national digital infrastructure.
The MIS–SDAIA IT services project, which includes VAT, will be formalized with a contract signing on August 17, 2025. The initiative aims to enhance IT service delivery and expand SDAIA’s digital capabilities.
Accelerating National Digital Development
This award reflects the Kingdom’s growing investment in smart governance and data-driven solutions. It aligns closely with Vision 2030’s focus on accelerating digital transformation within the public sector.
Moreover, it follows a key development: On July 9, 2025, MIS signed a separate framework agreement with the Saudi Data Centers Fund I, represented by Saudi Fransi Capital. That agreement positions MIS as “Development Manager” for expanding existing data centers and launching new digital hubs to serve both public and private sectors.
These two agreements strengthen MIS’s position within Saudi Arabia’s digital infrastructure landscape. They also highlight the government’s increasing reliance on trusted local firms to deliver critical technology solutions.
THE SAUDI STANDARD’S VIEW: SDAIA-MIS Pact Anchors National Digital Sovereignty
The MIS SDAIA IT services project worth SAR 42.93 million is more than a business transaction. It affirms Saudi Arabia’s strategic commitment to building a secure, digitally sovereign state aligned with Vision 2030 goals.
- Advancing public-sector digital transformation: The project directly supports the Kingdom’s ambition to become a regional leader in smart government and AI by investing in domestic digital capacity.
- Empowering national tech leaders: The government’s selection of MIS underscores growing confidence in Saudi-based technology firms. It also helps stimulate the local innovation ecosystem by awarding high-impact contracts to proven partners.
- SDAIA’s pivotal role in governance innovation: By leading projects integrating AI and data governance, SDAIA establishes data as a critical national asset and embeds analytics into public services.
- Strategic integration with infrastructure planning: The recent agreement with Saudi Fransi Capital complements the SDAIA contract. Together, they demonstrate a coordinated approach to future-proofing Saudi Arabia’s digital backbone through interconnected data hubs and IT services.
In conclusion, these developments illustrate Saudi Arabia’s consistent progress in digital policy, infrastructure modernization, and economic diversification. With each new collaboration, the Kingdom reinforces its global standing as a forward-looking, tech-enabled economy at the heart of the Vision 2030 agenda.
