SPA — Qiddiya Investment Company has signed a landmark agreement with the Faldo Series, establishing the Qiddiya Faldo golf partnership as a central pillar of Saudi Arabia’s golf development strategy. The agreement includes hosting youth tournaments and building an 18-hole championship course designed by golf legend Sir Nick Faldo, set to open in 2026.

Planned near the cliffs of the Tuwaiq Mountains, the course will feature a unique three-hole return loop and integrated lighting for evening play. It is designed for all skill levels and reflects Qiddiya’s focus on inclusivity, sustainability, and sporting excellence.

Qiddiya Faldo Golf Partnership Accelerates Youth Golf in Saudi Arabia

Through this partnership, Qiddiya will serve as a main venue for Faldo Series tournaments, becoming a regional hub for junior golf and talent development. In addition, the site will include a full-service golf club and a high-performance academy, scheduled to open in 2028. The Patterson Company will lead the design of these facilities.

This initiative supports Qiddiya City’s broader Vision 2030 goal to grow sports infrastructure and boost youth engagement. Managing Director Abdullah bin Nasser Al Dawood highlighted how the partnership aligns with Qiddiya’s ambition to cultivate future Saudi golf champions.

Blending Golf, Community, and Sport Tourism in Qiddiya City

Beyond the sport, the golf complex will operate as a lifestyle and wellness center. The clubhouse will offer fitness facilities, wellness spaces, lounges, and hospitality venues aimed at attracting more than 200,000 annual visitors. A green-roofed public building will link the golf club to a social hub and advanced academy.

Qiddiya City, located just outside Riyadh, spans over 360 square kilometers and includes over 20 master-planned zones. It blends entertainment, sports, and culture, placing Qiddiya at the forefront of international urban sports innovation.
