Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) has announced a wide-ranging side event alongside the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR25), to be held at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center in Riyadh from August 31 to September 3, 2025. This initiative aligns with CST’s strategy to boost international collaboration and reinforce Saudi Arabia’s leadership in sustainable digital regulation.

The CST GSR25 event will begin on August 31 with the 10th edition of Media Oasis, an interactive platform launched in partnership with the Ministry of Media. The showcase will feature national initiatives, RegTech innovation, and cutting-edge developments in the ICT and space sectors. It will also spotlight Saudi AI startups and host the Sync Digital Wellbeing Summit, presented by Ithra.

Saeed Al-Ghamdi, Assistant Deputy Governor for Corporate Communications and Marketing, described the event as a dynamic platform for global dialogue. “This side event is a key expression of global engagement,” he said, “reflecting CST’s commitment to regulatory innovation and international connectivity.”

TEDxRiyadh will headline the September 2 program, focusing on the human impact of AI and technology. Speakers will explore how regulation can prioritize people while fostering innovation. This supports CST’s broader goal of developing policy frameworks that foster digital growth and human-centered innovation.

Moreover, the program will also include expert panels on emerging technology governance. Discussions will cover AI regulation, quantum governance, and future connectivity through integrated terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks.
