Jeddah — Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, presided over the closing ceremony of the 1446H Hajj Cybersecurity Exercise, held under the patronage of Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region. The two-day event was organized by the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) and brought together over 800 cybersecurity professionals from more than 300 national entities.

The exercise aimed to enhance cybersecurity readiness for the upcoming Hajj season, strengthen national capabilities, and raise awareness among both Hajj pilgrims and service personnel. Upon arrival, the governor reviewed a presentation on the NCA’s strategic efforts to secure the digital environment during the pilgrimage.

An official video showcased the authority’s role in equipping cybersecurity personnel with the latest threat-response strategies through a locally developed and hosted simulation platform, created in partnership with the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE), the NCA’s technology arm.

The Governor praised the NCA and participating entities for their collaborative efforts in safeguarding critical digital infrastructure during Hajj, reinforcing the reliability and security of services provided to pilgrims.

The ceremony concluded with an awards presentation honoring standout participants in the cybersecurity exercise. The NCA, as the Kingdom’s central authority for cybersecurity, continues to lead national efforts in protecting vital interests and building specialized local talent in the field.
